About Virtual Worlds @ Work
View largerVWW looks globally and broadly at virtual worlds—3-D immersive environments—but focuses on enterprise applications. Our primary interest is in how virtual worlds will find use in learning and training, collaborative work, and innovation.
VWW uses a broad definition of virtual worlds that includes well-known virtual worlds such as Second Life, Active Worlds, and There, as well as massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs) such as World of Warcraft and Runescape. Our definition also includes private 3-D virtual environments used by enterprises for training, collaboration, and other purposes.
VWW members are vendors, users, and decision makers from large and small companies and government bodies in the United States, Asia, and Europe who seek new insights about emerging opportunities. These opportunities may take the form of new virtual-worlds platforms or related services, subscription revenues, or the use of virtual worlds to make internal or external business-process improvements.
